Trust In The Lord

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

Trusting isn’t easy, especially when it requires us to wait, and waiting isn’t easy because it requires us to trust. Just about everyone has their trust in something or someone. But, Proverbs 3:5-6, tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. Not some but all, not partial trust, but full trust in God. We are also instructed not to lean on our understanding. The way we think isn’t the way that God works it out. His ways and His thoughts aren’t like ours. When we trust the Lord, we have to learn to submit to His understanding. I love how David always took the time to inquire of the Lord. He wanted to know what God wanted, what God thought, what direction to take. He knew that the path he was on wasn’t easy and it required him submitting his ways to the Lord. When we stop to acknowledge the Lord, it pleases Him. It says to Him that we are submitting our will to Him and that we are dependent on Him. It says that we need Him.

Trusting in the Lord requires faith. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He knows the plans He has for His children, and His plans are not to harm us, they are for our good. God is not evil. He is good. “As for God, His way is perfect: The word of the Lord is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in Him.” Psalm 18:30 (NIV) No one’s more perfect than God, His word is true and always come to pass. He cannot and will not lie. His character speaks for itself, He is perfect, and He takes care of His children.

We make promises and we are unable to keep them, God isn’t like us, but we should aspire to be like Him. To trust in the Lord requires humility. We can’t be prideful and trusting God. A prideful man makes his own way, and tries to build his own kingdom, but a humble man will seek the face of the Lord and the Kingdom of God. Humility is submitting to God and trusting that He has the blueprint for our lives. Humility is knowing that our purpose and destiny is locked in Him. Daughters of Fire, trust God in every aspect of your life. Trust in the Lord even when it seems like nothing is going the way you think it should. Trust God with the timeline, dream and the vision He has given you. God’s track record is good with me, I’m still learning to wait and lean on Him and I know that it pleases Him when I do. Trust, lean, acknowledge and hide under the shadow of the Creator, the one who numbers the hair on our heads. The one who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light can be trusted. If we can trust Him with our salvation, then we can trust Him with everything else.

I’m living proof of the mercies and grace of God. Daughters of Fire, when I was fighting against the will of God, my marriage and family was in chaos. When I was trusting in the word of man over the word of God, I suffered a great deal. Man’s promises are empty, but God’s promises are true. Daughters of Fire, I encourage you to think on the goodness of God. There have been many days when I was faithless, but my Good Shepherd was faithful. There was times when I doubted, yet He extended His mercy and kindness. The Lord is full of compassion and grace. I’ve decided that nothing is better than trusting and leaning on Him. Take time and acknowledge Him, because without faith it’s impossible to please God. Daughters of Fire, I want us to please our heavenly Father. I want us to live in His will. I want us to live our lives submitted to and dependent upon Him. Trust in the Lord and wait for His instructions. He blesses us when we please Him. When God decide to favor you, there is nothing that man can do about it.

Father, thank You for the beautiful reminder to trust You with all our hearts. As Your daughters, we want to live our lives to please You. We love You Jesus, teach us to wait upon You. Teach us to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd. Oh God, we don’t want to think about where we would be without You. You are everything to us. We bless Your precious and holy Name. We bless You because You are good, kind, loving, faithful and honorable. How wide is Your love for us, the depth of it is unsearchable. Thank You for always thinking of us, and making Your beautiful ways known to us. May our thoughts and ways delight You as we seek to please You. You are everything to us Father, Jesus You are everything! We love You, we bless You, we praise, honor and we adore You, In Jesus Name, Amen.

  1. Tia Nadige this message was well needed. Waiting on God lately has been a challenge, especially when things get rough. But God has never failed me, thanks for reminding me🫢🏽πŸ₯ΊβœοΈπŸ™πŸ½ Feels good to have an ABBA that never fails!
