Footprints In The Sand

Sometimes, early mornings and school drop-offs can be a bit chaotic, but this morning, I was intentional in leaving my footprints in the sand. Take time to rest. Take a walk. Go see a movie. Go to the spa. Take a walk on the beach, but please remember that whatever season you are in, you can leave your footprints in the sand. Life can become busy, you can become busy, Wife’ing, Mom’ing, and working, while all the time your body is body’ing with aches and pains and fatigue, but please don’t neglect to leave your footprints in the sand.

Catch up with old friends, read a book, and sometimes ignore the calls that will cause you to lose your peace. Don’t forget that life is filled with seasons, so leave your footprints in the sand. Maybe you need to go shopping, get your hair done, the bills will get paid, you’re not irresponsible, but Daughters of Fire, please don’t forget to leave your footprints in the sand. The ebb and flow of life will always happen. Some things are beyond your control, but isn’t God always in control? I want you to take some time for yourself, and leave your footprints in the sand.

If you’re married, don’t forget to date your husband, and if you’re single, remember to love yourself, but please do not forget to leave your footprints in the sand. The footprints in the sand are the adventures we forget to take and the memories we miss. Daughters, spend time with your family, but most importantly, as you leave your footprints in the sand, remember that your Heavenly Father is always with you. He always wants to talk with you, and you are constantly on His mind. He loves you, and He wants you to enjoy the beautiful sun, sand, and sea that He created. Everything is going to be okay, all things are working together for your good, and please don’t feel guilty for leaving your footprints in the sand.
