Daughter Of Fire

“He makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.” Pslam 104:4

It’s been a year since I took the plunge. I plunged into a season that was new, unknown, fearful, and humbling. A season that has helped to shape me into His Daughter of Fire. At times, the fire blazed hotter. Hotter than I would have preferred, but The Refiner was at work, molding and shaping His creation. He was crafting me into His image. He wanted this daughter to reflect not just His name, but His character and His nature.

While Daughter of Fire may sound like a cool name for a blog website, it’s so much more than that. It’s when passion and purpose begin to align with the will of the Father. It’s when I said “yes” to God and “no” to everything that didn’t look like Him. It was difficult! It’s been a season that has elevated my trust in the Lord, requiring me to seek His face even more. The Refiner called me to come up a little bit higher, and His whispers of love have been constant. I understand myself just a little more, because I know Him better. Jesus has become to me what I’ve read about, Real. In times of persecution, He never left me; when hot tears flowed, He bottled them. When my strength left, He gently lifted and carried me. In the moments when I felt like He wasn’t there, He lovingly taught me to trust Him and to lean closer into Him. When I became pompous, prideful, and arrogant, He rebuked and forgave when I repented. Jesus has been ever merciful, gracious, and kind. His love was tender, and it was just what I needed.

Daughters of Fire, the Refiner has indeed been at work in my life, but it required me to yield to His will. It required obedience and surrender. Jesus has become my Best Friend, my Confidante, the One who understands me best. He has been patient and encouraging. I’ve learned how to become more compassionate. The Lord has been good to me. I didn’t know how much I needed to take the plunge last year, but I do know that I’m glad that I did. Answered prayers, breakthroughs, His surely goodness and mercy following me have been my portion.

I now stand on the precipice of a new season, with a better understanding of why the fire was turned up seven times hotter. It was simply preparation for the hard-fought hallelujah that broke chains and destroyed yokes in my life, my family and the lives of others. I have learned to embrace the heat as I ministered in His grace and love. Daughters of Fire, my Lord has revealed Himself to me in a new way. I want to encourage you to trust Jesus in every season, even the ones you don’t understand or that seem unfair. Don’t complain about how others treat you, don’t assume that they will know better, but always be kind. Remember that love covers a multitude of sins. Ask for and extend forgiveness. Don’t allow hurt to cause you to harden your heart. Don’t become petty. Release hurt and offense. Daughters, leave them at the feet of Jesus. He will not only heal you, but He will make you whole.

Daughters of Fire, I’ve been praying for you, and in sharing my life with you over the past year, my desire is for you to experience the love of Jesus in a new way. He loves you so much! Don’t run from the fire, but in His grace, allow it to mold and shape you into who He has divinely purposed you to be. You belong to Jesus, and what is His, He keeps and He protects. His Spirit will teach and guide you, He will tell you which way to go, and along the way, favor you. Daughters of Fire, don’t curse your season of refining. Remember that Your God is a Consuming Fire who will burn away everything in you that doesn’t look like Him. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more!

Happy Blogaversary!!! Thank you for faithfully reading, sharing, and encouraging me over the past year. I am blessed to know that Jesus has used these words to touch your heart, making it a little more tender. God bless you and keep you. Remember that He who called you is FAITHFUL!

  1. Although this is my first time reading your blog, I truly am Blessed by your words of encouragement and sincerity. God has given you so many gifts and talents Nadige but by far your greatest in my opinion is public speaking and writing.

Your gifts to endure and still shine shows the Love of God in you and people in general are drawn to you especially the youths.

Keep up the good work and continue to be obedient to Our God, He is definitely working everything for your good and His glory.

Blessings and Favor is yours forever and everyone attached to you..
